Tomares, Taremo & Jeffrey
Day 1
Yesterday I flew with 14 students from our school from Düsseldorf to Malaga. On our flight we had some turbulence. When we were flying over the sea the plane went up and down very fast and once it went straight down to the right for a moment. After two and a half hours in a pink bus, me and the students finally arrived in Tomares. Our guests were very excited to see their exchange partners for the first time, but there was nothing they had to worry about, because the people in Spain were so friendly and kind. At home I finally got out of my suitcase. |
Day 2
On the next day I went to school and met the Spanish travel buddy called “Taremo” for the first time. It was love at first sight. After that the German students and I visited different classes. The pupils thought that it was great to use mobiles the whole time, also in the lessons! At 10pm in the evening we went back to school because the other students from Münster arrived. |
Day 3
On Saturday I went to Seville with the German and Spanish people. On our way we walked for fifteen minutes to the metro station and from there it only took 3 minutes by train. For lunch we ate pizza in a restaurant called “Pomodoro”, but in the trees next to us were some tiny birds, which pooped on Jil´s and Teresa´s shirt.
After that we went shopping. In the evening we visited a very old castle with a huge fountain in front. It´s called “Plaza España” and it was so beautiful. In the past Spanish royals lived there.

Day 4
On Sunday morning we went to a football match all together, where some boys from the exchange played. In the afternoon I went to an incredible park “Alamillo”. There were so many palms and plants we don´t have in Germany. I was 25 degrees and the park was so big that we nearly got lost! We stayed until the evening because it was still so warm. Taremo and I also took a lot of pictures. |
Day 5
On my fifth day in Spain I also went to Seville with the German pupils but sadly their exchange partners had to stay at school! We visited a huge Cathedral. A guide showed us around, but a lot of rooms looked the same and our feet hurt. A bit later we went to a “new” building which is called “Las Setas” which means Mushrooms. You can go on the top, from there you have a great view all over Seville and you can also see a bit of Tomares!

Day 6
On Tuesday I went to the beach with the pupils from Germany and Spain and the Spanish Travel buddy! We went by bus for over one hour to Cadiz, That´s a city on the coast. On our way we crossed one of the biggest bridges in Europe “Puente de la Constitution”. We had to visit a museum and a cathedral first, but it only took 40 minutes. The weather was great so the pupils could wear short trousers. Most of them just walked through the water, but some crazy people were also swimming. |
Day 7
On our 7th day we went to Seville for the third time, but sadly the pupil´s exchange partners had to stay at school again, even on the last day. We started our bike tour at the “Plaza España”. From there we rode through the city and visited an old Jewish borough, which was very small but beautiful! In the evening, back in Tomares, me and the students had a Flamenco lesson at school. That was very funny but not easy! We really enjoyed the last day but later some students were already crying because they did not want to leave! |
Day 8
That was our last day! All the students were so sad counting the time they had left. At half past eleven nearly everyone started crying. So they forgot to leave me at school and took me by bus to the airport. Our friendly bus driver brought me back to school so the German students from year nine could take me with them, when they come back!
